Located at the eastern edge of the West Kowloon Cultural District, the Xiqu Centre is Hong Kong’s new venue for Cantonese opera and other forms of Chinese traditional theatre (xiqu).
The welcoming two-theatre venue offers something for all audiences, with world-class performances by some of the best troupes in the region presented in the Grand Theatre, and more intimate introductory experiences in the Tea House Theatre. There are also regular programmes of film screenings, workshops, talks and exhibitions, as well as guided tours. The venue has a selection of gift shops and restaurants, and a large open atrium where visitors can congregate and relax.
